The Midewin Institute serves the disabilities professional in three ways:
Reference:
To locate and catalog the growing body of reference materials on
prevention techniques; to act as a clearinghouse and curator for
the literature collection(s).
Research:
To conduct and to sponsor research into improved methods of
detection of the abuse and neglect watches; to assist other
researchers in identifying subjects, sights, and methodologies
which are conducive to research that advances the field of
knowledge.
Resource:
To consult directly on abuse and neglect issues; to match
organizations with the expertise of others; to publish printed
materials, videos, and training packages which will help address
potential problem areas.
